Dennis attended Bryan College in Dayton, Tennessee from 1973-1977 and graduated with a B.S. in Christian Education where he also formed the Fellowhip of Christian athletes and was captain of the Gospel team. He also volunteered as youth Pastor at Walnut Ridge Baptist Church. For fun, he played baseball all fours years while in college.
Rena also attended Bryan College from 1973- 1977 where she worked with Word of Life Bible camps and played piano for traveling
groups. She had worked with Word of Life for four years as a counselor. At college she graduated with a B.A. in church music and
then was married to Dennis on August 7, 1976 in Dover, Delaware.
After locating to Springfield, Missouri, they served in various ministries at Cherry Street Baptist church. They sang in the choir, volunteered with the Jr. High department, etc. They also completed their missions internship here and Dennis had the opportunity to serve as Jr. church deacon. Rena helped organize a women's ministry known as "LIFT" and worked as a piano professor at the college. She also worked with her husband in a variety of church ministries.
In 1982 they attended Baptist Bible college where they took concentrated missions courses under professor Ken Liles. It was also there that the Metzgers and Bells met and became lifelong friends. During this time Rena was on faculty as a music professor.
They were approved as Baptist Bible Fellowship missionaries to Argentina in May 1988 and moved there with their four children April, Ben, Amy and Nathaniel. They lived and served in Rosario, Argentina for one year under veteran missionaries Jimmy and Marie Strickland. They then moved west and took over and worked in one of the missions of veteran missionaries Don and Lucy Nevels in the city of San Luis. They spent the next ten years there and started two more works, a Bible institute, and trained church leaders.
The Metzgers returned from Argentina in September of 2001 and attended Cherry Street Baptist church again. They jumped right into several ministries including: adult Sunday school, Jr. church, deacon, Faith ministry and missions conferences.
In 2007, Dennis began pastoring the Rose Hill Baptist Church in Willard, Missouri. All the while, Rena graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing from St. John's/Southwest Baptist University. She worked at St. John's Hospital and Oxford Nursing.
In 2013, they felt the call of God to reach the huge numbers of Spanish-speaking people in Texas. Both the Metzgers and Bell's formed this evangelizing team to reach people with the Gospel of Christ.

Se casó con Dennis el siete de agosto, 1997 en Dover, Delaware y lo ayudó con el equipo de evangelismo como pianista y con los jóvenes en Walnut Ridge Baptist Church.
Después de mudarse a Springfield, Missouri, ellos sirvieron juntos en varios ministerios en Cherry Street Baptist Church. En 2013, Dennis y Rena sintieron la llamada de Dios para alcanzar para Cristo el gran número de gente hispana en Tejas. Juntos, los Bells y los Metzgers formaron Vida Hispana para llegar y alcanzar a la gente con el Evangelio de Cristo.
